DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Volta 9.2 mm is a single climbing rope with a small diameter, designed for those who seek a concrete balance between strength and low weight in crags and mountains. With a length of 70 meters and a weight of 59 g/m, it is particularly suitable for long sessions or challenging approaches, where every gram less translates into saved energy.
Construction and treatment
The core and sheath of the Volta are treated with the Duratec Dry process, a UIAA Dry certified waterproofing technology that limits water absorption even in humid, rainy, or snowy conditions. A wet rope loses up to 30% of its shock resistance: the Dry treatment significantly reduces this risk, also extending the rope's lifespan over time. The construction ensures high glide through quickdraws and belay stations, with handling that facilitates maneuvers in both sport climbing and trad climbing.
