DESCRIPTION
The FIXE Sling Fosca is a sewn sling, 10 mm wide and 65 cm long, constructed with a combination of technical materials that optimize both its mechanical resistance and durability over time. The chosen size – a medium length between shorter versions and those for via ferrata – makes it particularly versatile for use in crags and multipitch climbing, where a ready-to-use sling is needed to extend protection, build intermediate anchors, or reduce the leverage effect on quickdraws.
Construction and technical details
Every aspect of the sling is designed to reduce operational risks: the stitching is finished on both the edges and sides to eliminate protrusions that could snag during maneuvers with carabiners and lanyards. The FIXE logo is applied laterally with flush stitching, so as not to create friction points with quickdraws or metal components of the system. The edges of the information label are also rounded, a detail that contributes to the fluidity of maneuvers on the wall.
Materials and resistance
The Fosca uses a combination of high-tenacity fibers – a characteristic that distinguishes this line from standard nylon slings – significantly increasing tensile strength and stability over time, even with continuous use.
