TOTEM Cam 1.50 - RED - Grey is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The Totem Cam 1.50 RED is a four-cam friend designed for traditional climbing on medium-sized cracks. Its strong point lies in the patented Direct Loading Camming Device (DLCD) system, a cam geometry that distributes the load directly onto the central axle, increasing the contact surface with the rock and improving its holding power even in irregular or slightly parallel cracks.
Technical features
The cams are made of high-strength aluminum alloy, with an asymmetrical profile that ensures stability during placement and reduces the risk of accidental walking. The rigid stainless steel stem allows for direct rope loading without an auxiliary carabiner, simplifying the system and reducing overall weight. The 1.50 version covers a specific expansion range for medium cracks, placing it in a frequent use bracket on granite, sandstone, and compact limestone.
- Patented DLCD system for direct axle loading
- Aluminum alloy body with asymmetrical cam profile
- Rigid stainless steel stem
- Red color for quick identification on the rack
- CE / UIAA certification
When to use it
This friend excels in situations where the crack does not offer an ideal anchor: the DLCD geometry maintains an optimal cam angle even under eccentric load, making it reliable on placements in awkward positions or with a side pull. It is a solid choice for those who want a high-performance and redundant trad rack in the most commonly used sizes.
