DESCRIPTION
The SCARPA Rapid XT is an approach shoe designed for those who move fast in the mountains without sacrificing protection from the elements. It was created to fill the wide gap between technical trails and the base of the climb: mixed terrain, scree, exposed paths, steep descents where immediate traction and a firm foot are essential.
Construction and materials
The upper is made of waterproof technical fabric, which keeps the foot dry on wet ground and in the early stages of rain, without sacrificing breathability during intense movement. The structure is compact enough to easily clip the shoe to a harness during progression on a rock face, a feature not to be taken for granted in this category.
