DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Spirit is a screw-gate carabiner designed for sport climbing and route work, valued for its balance of lightness and strength. With a low weight and an asymmetric D-shape, the load is distributed along the strongest side of the body, optimizing mechanical performance during use.
Keylock System and Gate Geometry
The Keylock system eliminates the nose on the gate, removing the risk of accidental snagging on anchors, slings, or nearby carabiners during clipping and unclipping operations. The carabiner is available in straight gate and bent gate versions: the straight gate is suitable for clipping into quickdraws and fixed anchors, while the bent gate facilitates one-handed opening, reducing the margin of error on the wall.
