DESCRIPTION
The PETZL Spirit Curved Gate is a screw-lock carabiner designed for sport climbing and cragging, where speed of clipping and reliability must coexist without compromise. The curved gate version facilitates one-handed rope insertion, reducing resistance during maneuvers on the wall even with fatigued fingers.
Technology and Construction
The Keylock system eliminates the traditional hook nose: the gate closes flush with the carabiner body, preventing it from snagging inadvertently on chains, bolts, or slings during clipping and unclipping operations. The body is made of high-strength aluminum with an optimized cross-section profile that maintains a low weight — 40 g — while retaining a standard size that ensures comfortable grip and compatibility with any quickdraw.
