DESCRIPTION
The PETZL Rumba is an 8mm half rope designed for those tackling technical and variable terrain: long rock routes, mixed alpinism, and icefalls. Its small diameter makes it light and easy to handle even in the most demanding situations, without compromising safety.
Technical Features
The rope is EN 892 certified as a half rope and can be used as a twin rope with another Rumba. The sheath is constructed with a reinforced weave that increases abrasion resistance on edges and sharp rock, extending the rope's lifespan even with intensive use. The Duratec Dry hydrophobic treatment is applied to both the core and the sheath, preventing water absorption in rainy, snowy, or icy conditions: a wet rope can increase its weight by 50% and significantly reduce dynamic performance.
