DESCRIPTION
The PETZL Footape is an adjustable foot loop specifically designed for use in conjunction with the PETZL Ascension handled ascender during ascent on a fixed rope. It attaches directly to the handled ascender, transforming it into an integrated hand-foot system that allows for efficient climbing while reducing strain on the upper limbs.
Construction and Adjustment System
The Footape's construction incorporates an abrasion-resistant rigid stirrup reinforcement, which keeps the foot loop open and facilitates foot insertion even with gloves or under physical stress. An adjustable elastic strap holds the foot in position during the ascent, adapting to any type of footwear, from climbing shoes to mountaineering boots. The DoubleBack buckle ensures a secure closure and allows for quick adjustment of the strap length, eliminating the risk of accidental opening.
