The Petzl Ouistiti is a full-body harness designed specifically for children who are new to climbing, engineered to ensure safety and ease of use even for first-time wearers. It is suitable for children weighing less than 30 kg and stands out for certain construction choices aimed at this type of use.
Construction and safety
Unlike traditional harnesses, the Ouistiti does not require additional connectors for closure: the attachment system is integrated and designed to reduce the risk of errors during donning. The adjustment system is deliberately difficult for the child to reach, so the straps remain in the correct positions set by the adult. The fully padded structure, on both the leg loops and waist belt, ensures comfort even in the event of a fall or during long sessions at the crag.
