DESCRIPTION
The Petzl IKO Core solves one of the most common problems with ski mountaineering headlamps: unbalanced weight on the forehead which, after hours of ascent, becomes annoying. The design physically divides the components: the front optical block is ultra-thin, while the rechargeable CORE battery is moved to the back of the headband, distributing the weight evenly around the head. The result is a headlamp weighing only 79 grams that you can barely feel you're wearing.
Technology and lighting performance
Despite its compact size, the IKO Core delivers a maximum power of 500 lumens, sufficient for reading the terrain at speed on snow or for navigating unclear paths at night. The flat elastic AIRFIT® headband ensures stability without pressure points, even over a ski mountaineering helmet or winter hat. The internal battery is charged via micro-USB, eliminating reliance on disposable batteries; alternatively, it is compatible with standard AAA batteries as an emergency solution.
