DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Grigri is the world's most popular assisted-braking belay device for lead and top-rope climbing. Its operation is based on an internal auto-locking cam: in the event of a fall or accidental rope release, the cam rotates and instantly locks the rope, reducing the load on the belayer and increasing the safety margin both at the crag and in the gym.
Technical Features
The Grigri is compatible with ropes from 8.9 mm to 10.5 mm in diameter, making it versatile for most sport climbing setups.
