DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Finesse is a 17 cm sling designed for those who want to minimize gear weight without sacrificing structural strength. It's intended for assembling custom quickdraws in combination with carabiners of your choice, offering flexibility in equipment configuration.
Construction and materials
The Finesse is made with an ultralight Dyneema construction, which ensures an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. The ergonomic shape of the sling facilitates gripping during maneuvers on the wall, even with tired fingers or gloves. The longitudinal strength meets the requirements of EN 566, making it certified for climbing use.
STRING system and carabiner stability
The sling is equipped with an integrated STRING protector, a soft material element that serves two functions: it keeps the carabiner correctly oriented on the anchor, preventing unwanted rotations during progression, and protects the sling itself from friction wear. This detail is particularly useful on popular sport routes, where repeated falls accelerate material degradation.
