The Petzl Express 25 cm is a dogbone designed for quickdraws, suitable for sport and trad climbing routes. It is engineered to allow the rope to run smoothly through the quickdraws during progression on the wall. Its 25 cm length makes it particularly effective for managing sections with significant rope deviation, reducing friction and lateral pull on protection.
Construction and Materials
The dogbone is made from high-tenacity nylon with an ergonomic shape that facilitates one-handed clipping, even in awkward positions. The integrated STRING retention system—an elastic rubber protector—serves a dual purpose: it stabilizes the carabiner in the correct position to prevent unwanted rotation and protects the webbing from abrasion, extending its lifespan. The double-loop structure is visually differentiated to immediately distinguish the protection-side from the rope-side loop.
