DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Linkin Leash is a removable leash designed to secure the ice axe to the wrist during mountaineering activities, eliminating the risk of accidentally losing the tool on the wall. Unlike traditional leashes integrated into the handle, the Linkin connects to the ice axe via the hole in the pick, making it compatible with the vast majority of models on the market – both classic and technical ice axes.
Construction and adjustment
The attachment system uses a simple knot that allows the leash to be mounted and dismounted in seconds, without tools and even with gloves. The length is adjusted directly on the cord, allowing it to be adapted to any wrist circumference and any glove thickness. The light weight ensures that the leash does not alter the balance or handling of the ice axe during use.
