DESCRIPTION
The PETZL Jane I 60 cm is a fixed dynamic rope lanyard designed to be paired with the ABSORBICA energy absorber, forming a single lanyard fall protection system. The fixed length of 60 cm makes it ideal for use on via ferratas or in mountaineering where lanyard management does not require field adjustment.
Construction and materials
The dynamic rope construction ensures progressive energy absorption during a fall, reducing the load transmitted to the body. The terminations are protected by a rigid plastic sheath that serves a dual function: it keeps the carabiner in the correct position during clipping and protects the rope's core from abrasion due to contact with metallic material and rocky surfaces.
