DESCRIPTION
The Petzl ULTRALEGERE is a single pulley designed for those who need to build a hauling or belay system with maximum weight and bulk savings. The structure is made of high-resistance nylon, which keeps dimensions to a minimum without compromising reliability on the wall or during use in lightweight rescue systems.
Technical features
- The pulley is designed to work with ropes up to 13 mm in maximum diameter, compatible with most climbing and light rescue ropes.
- It is mounted directly on a symmetrical carabiner (not included), which acts as the rotation axis for the pulley.
- The monobloc nylon structure eliminates any superfluous components, bringing weight and volume to the lowest possible level among Petzl's pulley range.
When to use it
The ULTRALEGERE is suitable for contexts where every gram counts: technical hiking, lightweight mountaineering, makeshift hauling systems for recovering material or companions in difficulty. Paired with an HMS or symmetrical carabiner, it allows you to build a functional belay or hauling system with minimal bulk in your backpack. It does not replace pulleys with ball bearings for high-load systems, but it represents the most rational choice when simplicity and reduced weight are the absolute priority.
