The fabric is made of 100% merino wool with a weight of 185 g/m², a medium-lightweight that balances thermoregulation and breathability. Merino fiber at this weight guarantees active thermal insulation even when sweat accumulates moisture, thanks to wool's natural ability to absorb up to 35% of its weight in water vapor without feeling wet. The softness of the fine merino fiber used by Ortovox eliminates the annoying itching effect typical of traditional wools, making the garment wearable directly against the skin even during prolonged exertion.
