The Mammut Taiss ML Hooded Jacket is a technical hooded fleece mid-layer, designed for those who frequently venture into the mountains and cannot compromise on thermoregulation. The Polartec® Power Stretch™ fabric combines active warmth, high breathability, and freedom of movement: a combination that makes it suitable both as an insulating layer under a shell and as an outer layer for spring or autumn high-altitude outings.
Technical Construction and Materials
Polartec® Power Stretch™ is a four-way stretch fleece known for its ability to quickly wick moisture away from the body, reducing evaporative cooling during breaks and changes in pace typical of mountaineering and demanding trekking. The slightly compact outer surface resists abrasion from backpacks and harnesses, while the soft inner part efficiently retains body heat. The integrated hood offers additional protection without adding significant weight, useful when exposed to wind on ridges or faces.
