DESCRIPTION
The LA SPORTIVA Vanguard was created to meet the needs of advanced ski mountaineers looking for a boot that performs uncompromisingly both uphill and downhill. It is not an extreme tool specialized in only one direction: it is the result of a real technical balance between mobility for touring and control for freeriding.
Construction and materials
The Vanguard's structure uses a two-component polyurethane shell with different zonal hardnesses, which ensures torsional rigidity in the foot area and greater flexibility in the upper part of the cuff. The closure system integrates aluminum buckles with micro-adjustment and a cuff locking system optimized for uphill mode. The inner liner is anatomical and designed to reduce pressure points during long outings.
Uphill and downhill performance
- Wide range of motion in walk mode, with a range of movement designed to tackle steep slopes without tiring the calf
- Vibram sole with a profile compatible with standard and tech ski touring bindings
- Low weight in the free-touring category, which lightens the step on multi-hour outings
- Liner flex calibrated to ensure response and impulse transmission to the skis even on hard snow and off-piste
