DESCRIPTION

The TX5 Evo GTX are La Sportiva's approach shoes designed for those who don't stop halfway: from via ferratas to demanding treks, to mixed trails on rock and dirt, they offer stability and protection without sacrificing the lightness typical of an approach shoe.

Construction and materials

The upper is made of nubuck leather, chosen for its abrasion resistance and ability to adapt to the foot's shape over time. Integrated inside is the GORE-TEX ePE Extended Comfort membrane, a new generation waterproof and breathable solution that ensures water protection even when wading or in prolonged rain, while maintaining good air circulation to prevent overheating during the most demanding climbs.

Sole and grip

  • Vibram® Mega-Grip outsole with high-grip compound on wet and dry rock
  • Impact Brake System in the heel area for safe braking on steep descents
  • 3D Flex System structure that balances walking flexibility with rigidity when needed
  • Dual-density EVA footbed for active cushioning on uneven terrain

The fit is designed for the female foot, with a precise fit around the ankle that reduces unwanted movement on unstable terrain. A solid shoe for those tackling technical routes with a backpack and unwilling to compromise between comfort and performance.
