DESCRIPTION

The La Sportiva TX5 Evo Mid GTX is a technical trekking boot that covers a wide range of uses: from via ferratas to demanding hikes, up to mixed terrain on trails and rocks. The Mid version provides ankle support without sacrificing mobility, a fundamental feature when tackling variable terrain.

Construction and Waterproofing

The upper is made of treated nubuck leather, combined with a GORE-TEX ePE Extended Comfort membrane: a solution that combines reliable waterproofing with superior breathability compared to previous generation GORE-TEX membranes. The practical result is a foot that stays dry both when crossing small streams and during long summer outings when sweating is high.

Sole and Performance on Mixed Terrain

  • Vibram Mega-Grip sole with high-friction compound, effective on both wet rock and beaten earth
  • Impact Brake System in the heel area for controlled braking on steep descents
  • Front zone with a profile suitable for insertion into via ferrata steps and for use with approach crampons
  • EVA midsole with 3D Flex System geometry that promotes natural foot flexion
