DESCRIPTION

The Tarantula Boulder is La Sportiva's women's climbing shoe designed for those taking their first steps in indoor bouldering and looking for an accessible product without sacrificing technical quality. The construction is deliberately unstructured and sensitive, to transmit the feedback from the rock (or resin wall) from the very first sessions, promoting the development of foot technique.

Construction and fit

The neutral shape makes the Tarantula Boulder suitable for a wide range of foot morphologies, without constricting or deforming. The closure is entrusted to a double velcro system with opposing straps, which allows the shoe to be put on and taken off in a few seconds — an appreciated detail during bouldering sessions where problems are constantly changing. The heel is specifically shaped to optimize grip in movements that require the use of the heel on the hold.

  • Upper in synthetic microfiber, resistant to stretching and stable over time
  • Sole in FriXion® RS 4mm rubber, a compound developed by La Sportiva for grip on resin and rock
  • Slip-lasted construction for greater sensitivity and contact with the surface
  • Double velcro closure for quick adjustment
  • Neutral and symmetrical shape, suitable for feet with medium-wide toes
