DESCRIPTION

The La Sportiva Prodigio 2 is a trail running shoe designed for those who tackle long distances on varying terrain, where persistent comfort and dynamic stability must coexist without compromise. It is the right choice for both a Sunday trail run and a challenging mountain marathon, thanks to an architecture that balances cushioning and responsiveness.

Construction and Technologies

The midsole is made with high-density EVA foam, capable of distributing loads evenly and maintaining its cushioning properties even after many hours of running. The upper, made of reinforced breathable mesh, ensures constant ventilation and resistance to the typical lateral abrasions of off-road running. The wrap-around lacing system ensures a secure and anatomical fit, reducing micro-movements of the foot inside the shoe during descents.

Grip and Protection on the Trail

  • Vibram® Mega Grip rubber sole with multi-directional lugs for traction on mud, wet rock, and mixed trails
  • Reinforced rubber toe cap for front impact protection on rocky terrain
  • Integrated rock guard in the midsole to shield the foot from terrain irregularities
  • 6 mm drop for a natural posture and smooth stride transition

The Prodigio 2 is aimed at male trail runners who regularly cover distances over 30 km and are looking for a shoe that won't let them down at the end of a race, when muscle fatigue makes stability even more critical than speed.
