DESCRIPTION
The Macnas Softshell is a technical jacket from LA SPORTIVA designed for ski mountaineering and high-altitude excursions where wind and cold demand concrete protection without sacrificing mobility. Its construction, utilizing a mix of technical softshell fabrics, ensures a balanced blend of weather resistance, breathability, and light integrated insulation, sufficient to retain warmth during breaks and ascents in moderately cold conditions.
Construction and Fit
The articulated hood follows head movements without restricting peripheral vision, an essential feature when ascending with skis and a backpack. The adjustable elastic cuffs with Velcro allow for a precise seal to block out cold air, even during the expansive movements of off-piste skiing. The cut is designed to accommodate an intermediate layer underneath while maintaining a silhouette that doesn't impede movement.
Pocket System
Accessory management is designed for use on the move: the jacket features
- 2 zippered side pockets for gloves, snacks, or maps
- 1 zippered chest pocket for documents or small, quickly accessible items
