DESCRIPTION

The La Sportiva Katana Woman is a climbing shoe with over twenty years of competitive history, remaining a benchmark for those seeking a real compromise between foot sensitivity and the ability to push on technical features. It is not a beginner's shoe, nor is it for specialists in a single style: its strength is its versatility on crags, single-pitch climbs, and challenging multi-pitch routes.

Construction and Technologies

The upper is made of unlined smooth leather, which progressively adapts to the foot, ensuring an increasingly precise fit over time. The closure is via double opposing Velcro straps, a system that allows independent adjustment of the forefoot and instep, adapting to different foot morphologies without losing control of the fit. The Vibram® XS Edge sole offers decisive grip on worked holds and rock edges, ideal for slabs and small footholds where stiffness matters.

The P3™ System and Long-term Performance

The midsole has been updated with the patented P3™ (Permanent Power Platform) system: a structure that keeps the shoe's curvature and tension unchanged even after hundreds of uses, preventing the progressive flattening typical of downturned shoes. The result is a shoe that does not "die" quickly and maintains its load transmission characteristics to the toes over time.
