DESCRIPTION
The KONG Panic System 30 cm is a connection system with a semi-rigid sling designed to facilitate quickdraw clipping on hard-to-reach protection during sport climbing. The combination of materials and geometry makes it a functional tool in situations where a traditional quickdraw would be awkward or ineffective.
Construction and technology
The system consists of a tubular webbing integrated with a flexible internal core that allows the desired curvature to be shaped and maintained, enabling precise direction of the connector towards bolts positioned laterally or in awkward positions. The upper carabiner is a modified version of KONG's Ergo Wire, equipped with a dedicated mechanism that keeps the gate open during the clipping phase, making the operation manageable even with one hand or in precarious positions. The closure is automatic, ensuring correct gate closure once clipping is complete without additional manual intervention.
