DESCRIPTION
The Karpos LOT Rain F-Z Pants are the result of a direct collaboration with Ueli Steck, who presented the R&D team with a precise request: a pair of pants capable of combining extreme lightness, elasticity, and real protection from wind, rain, and snow in harsh alpine conditions. The result is a technical garment that required years of development and practical testing in real terrain before finding the right balance between these often contradictory requirements.
Construction and materials
The chosen fabric offers waterproof and windproof protection without sacrificing breathability, while the elasticated composition ensures full freedom of movement in technical climbing and mountaineering sections. The construction is designed for those who ascend fast and light: every unnecessary gram has been eliminated, making these pants suitable to be carried in a backpack as an emergency second layer or worn directly when the weather deteriorates at altitude.
