DESCRIPTION
The Karpos Dinamico Merino 180 Jersey LS is a technical long-sleeve base layer, constructed with a fabric made of 92% Merino wool with a weight of 180 g/m². This choice is no coincidence: Merino wool at this density offers a precise balance between thermal insulation and moisture management, making it suitable for both high-altitude outings in cold temperatures and prolonged aerobic efforts where sweating is intense.
Technical fabric properties
The Merino fiber actively works on the body's microclimate: it absorbs up to 35% of its own weight in moisture without giving a feeling of wetness to the skin, and gradually releases it outwards. This natural thermoregulation mechanism means that the garment insulates when stationary and dissipates excess heat during exertion. The fiber structure is also naturally antibacterial, limiting the proliferation of odor-causing bacteria even after repeated use without washing.
Fit and use
- Anatomical cut designed for free movement on alpine terrain or when climbing without the fabric bunching up under a mid-layer
- Suitable as a base layer for activities such as ski mountaineering, winter trekking, trail running in cold conditions, and mid-mountain alpinism
- The remaining 8% in synthetic fibers reinforces the fabric structure in areas of greater friction, increasing the overall durability of the garment
