DESCRIPTION
The Garmin Varia RTL515 is an integrated system combining a rearview radar and a tail light in a single seat-mounted device, designed to increase situational awareness while cycling. Thanks to its radar module, it can detect approaching vehicles from behind up to 140 meters away, providing sufficient advance warning to consciously react to traffic, even at high speeds.
Compatibility and display
The device connects via ANT+ and Bluetooth to compatible Garmin Edge cycling computers and smartphones via the Varia app, displaying a graphical representation of approaching vehicles with relative speed indication on the screen. The integrated tail light operates in automatic mode: it flashes faster when the radar detects a vehicle, increasing visibility precisely when it's needed most.
