DESCRIPTION
The EDELRID HMS Bulletproof Triple FG is a pear-shaped carabiner with a triple-lock system, designed for belaying at climbing crags and on multi-pitch routes. Its name comes from the steel insert (Bulletproof) positioned at the apex of the carabiner: a metallic protection that preserves the aluminum body from wear and tear caused by rope friction during rappelling and dynamic belaying maneuvers.
Anti-twist technology and locking mechanism
An internal elastic bar prevents unintentional rotation of the carabiner on the quickdraw or harness, always keeping it in the correct position relative to the belay device. The Keylock closure mechanism eliminates the hook on the carabiner's nose, reducing the risk of accidental snagging on fixed anchors or quickdraws during maneuvers. The Triple FG triple-lock gate requires three distinct actions to open, ensuring maximum safety against unintentional openings.
