The Contour Tail Clip Set is a specific replacement kit for the rear attachment system of Contour ski touring skins. When the tail clip is damaged or worn out after seasons of intensive use, replacing the entire component with original parts is the most reliable choice to maintain efficient attachment to the ski tail.
Kit Contents
The set includes everything needed to restore a complete rear attachment on a pair of skins: the tensioning tab, the fixing rivets, and the tail clips. As these are original Contour components, they guarantee dimensional and functional compatibility with skins of the same brand, avoiding improvised adaptations that could compromise performance under stress in wet or icy snow conditions.
Why Replace with Original Parts
During a ski touring ascent, a failing rear attachment can cause the skin to partially detach, leading to loss of grip and interruption of progress.
