DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Orbit Lock is a screw-gate carabiner with an asymmetrical oval shape, designed for those looking for a versatile and compact connector for belay stations and wall maneuvers. Compared to a classic HMS carabiner, its reduced profile makes it more manageable when connecting descent devices or auto-locking devices directly to the harness, making rope management during rappelling more orderly and controlled.
Construction and Geometry
The body is made of high-strength aluminum alloy, processed to ensure structural rigidity without adding unnecessary weight to the system. The closure is entrusted to a screw gate with SphereLock technology: the spherical geometry of the nose optimizes the play between the gate and the body of the carabiner, reducing micro-vibrations that can unintentionally loosen the gate during use. The result is a more reliable locking system even in dynamic conditions.
