DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Orbit Express KS 12 CM is a sport climbing quickdraw designed for those who want consistent reliability on intensely progressive routes, without sacrificing weight. Its 12 cm length makes it versatile on any type of slab or overhang, where the route's geometry requires a short and reactive quickdraw.
Technical Construction
Both carabiners in the Orbit series feature a slim nose with SphereLock geometry, a solution that reduces the risk of accidental gate opening in case of contact with rock or rope, while maintaining high operational safety. The lower connector is equipped with a KS (Keeper System) that keeps it correctly oriented on the sling, preventing unwanted rotation during rope clipping and ensuring a consistently clean and fast clip.
Sling and Materials
The sling is made of 16 mm Nylon, a width that ensures structural stability and good resistance to wear from friction with the lower carabiner during loading. Nylon, compared to Dyneema, offers greater absorption of dynamic forces, a valuable quality on routes with closely spaced bolts. The result is a quickdraw that is balanced between lightness and robustness, suitable for intensive use in crags without requiring frequent replacements.
