DESCRIPTION
The Black Diamond Women's Strataline Stretch Shell is a technical hardshell jacket designed for those who don't want to compromise between weather protection and freedom of movement. The main fabric is a 3-layer BD.dry™ laminate, a proprietary technology that integrates a waterproof and breathable membrane directly between the outer fabric and the inner lining, eliminating the weight of a separate liner and ensuring high waterproofing and breathability even in the most demanding conditions.
Construction and Protection
The DWR (Durable Water Repellency) treatment applied to the surface causes water to bead up and roll off before it can saturate the fabric, keeping the jacket light and responsive even in heavy rain. The stretch construction of the laminate allows for full mobility of the arms and torso, a critical element during ice climbing, ski mountaineering, or high-altitude trekking with a heavy pack. The aerodynamic profile and reduced female cut minimize bulk under a harness.
