The system is composed of stretchable elastic webbing, which absorbs sudden jerks and ensures freedom of movement during use, and an integrated locking carabiner — an upgrade from previous versions — that allows the leash to be securely attached to both the head and the spike of the ice axe, adapting to different models and configurations.
