DESCRIPTION
The Black Diamond Camalot C4 in size 5 is a double-axle cam designed for protection in wide cracks, where structural solidity and reliable locking are absolute priorities. Size 5 covers an expansion range of 85.4 to 148.5 mm, making it ideal for large cracks typical of big wall routes or offwidth cracks.
Construction and technology
Compared to the previous generation, the C4 has been redesigned, reducing its weight by 10% without compromising strength. The lobes are shaped with a sculpted profile that optimizes contact with the rock, ensuring progressive and stable locking even on irregular surfaces. The double axle allows for a wide expansion range, reducing the risk of zippering in case of a fall on closely spaced protection.
