The core of the Stinger III is BEAL's proprietary UNICORE technology, which welds the outer sheath to the inner core during production. This process eliminates sheath slippage relative to the core, a critical issue in the event of a partial rope cut: even with a damaged sheath, the core maintains its structural integrity, ensuring superior active safety compared to traditional ropes. The DRY Cover treatment waterproofs the filaments of the outer sheath, reducing water and ice absorption, with clear advantages in alpine conditions or on humid crag days.
