The BEAL BE Safe (screw-lock version) is a pear-shaped carabiner developed specifically for double ropes: its internal geometry simultaneously accommodates two strands without overlapping, eliminating one of the most common problems in managing falls with half ropes or twin ropes. The optimized support cradle ensures smooth running of the two strands even under load, reducing lateral friction against the carabiner walls and allowing the belayer to manage braking with precision.
