DESCRIPTION
The Salewa Pedroc 2 Durastretch is a lightweight women's cap designed for fast hiking and mountain trail running, where heat management and sun protection must coexist without adding weight.
Construction and materials
The crown is made of Durastretch softshell fabric, a proprietary Salewa material that combines four-way stretch with good abrasion resistance. The mesh side panels ensure active ventilation in areas of higher heat production, keeping the head dry even during the most intense movements. The flexible visor protects the eyes from direct light without stiffening or deforming when carried in a backpack.
Fit and comfort
- Internal sweatband that absorbs moisture on contact with the forehead
- Rear adjustment system to adapt the head circumference without removing the cap
- Low profile and structured construction that maintains its shape even in windy conditions
- Lightweight, suitable for continuous uphill use
It pairs well with summer alpine ridge excursions or fast hiking sessions, where wearing a heavy or rigid cap would quickly become uncomfortable. The combination of softshell and mesh also makes it suitable for light wind conditions, where a mesh-only cap would be insufficient.
