The Atomic Shift 13 MN is a hybrid freeride touring binding that combines the functionalities of a true downhill binding with the lightness and practicality required for ascents. Born from direct feedback from Atomic's freeride athletes, it represents a concrete answer for those who don't want to compromise on either ascents or steep, challenging snow.
Structure and Technology
The hybrid system combines a pin-style touring toe piece with a full-flap downhill heel piece, ensuring power transmission comparable to a conventional alpine binding. The DIN value ranges from 6 to 13, compatible with MN (Michelin Norm) soles, making it suitable for use with downhill boots equipped with touring inserts. The heel piece integrates a walk mode function with stable locking in ascent mode and a two-position adjustable climbing aid system for tackling different inclines.
