The SALEWA Mountain Trainer 2 Gore-Tex® are low-cut alpine approach shoes designed for those looking for footwear capable of effortlessly transitioning from trail to via ferrata, all the way to the base of the rock face. The upper is made of 1.6 mm suede leather, a thickness that ensures structural durability without weighing down the foot, with a flexibility that naturally adapts to movement.
Protection and comfort in all conditions
The internal GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane offers certified waterproofing and, compared to standard membranes, superior breathability: the foot remains dry both from the outside and inside, even during the most demanding climbs. The soft internal lining reduces friction on the skin, making the shoe wearable even over long distances without thick technical socks.
Sole and performance on the ground
- Vibram sole with a specific compound for grip on wet rock and mixed terrain
- Low profile that lowers the center of gravity and improves proprioception on uneven terrain
- Reinforced toe suitable for micro-foot placements on rock during approach sections
