CAMP Express Ring Dyneema 8.5 mm - 30 cm - Orange is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Express Ring Dyneema 8.5 mm 30 cm is a sewn sling made of Dyneema® webbing, the high-tenacity molecular fiber that offers one of the highest strength-to-weight ratios available for climbing gear. With a diameter of only 8.5 mm, this sewn sling is designed for situations where space and weight are critical variables.
Construction and performance
The reduced 8.5 mm cross-section allows the sling to be threaded into extremely narrow passages where a traditional 6 or 7 mm nylon cord would not fit or would be too bulky. Dyneema® also guarantees superior abrasion resistance compared to conventional polyamide fibers, a relevant feature when the sling works on sharp rock edges or in natural hourglass channels.
Technical applications
- Connecting belay anchors to natural and artificial protection
- Building light trad quickdraws combined with screwgate or autolocking carabiners
- Passing through hourglasses and narrow holes in the rock where thicker cords do not fit
- Creating Abalakov anchors on ice, where the small size facilitates insertion into the tunnel
The 30 cm length makes it suitable for direct use as a short connector or as a base for compact belay configurations. Its low weight makes it a concrete solution for those who optimize every gram of their rack on big walls, alpine routes, or trad climbing.
