Compared to alternatives made of Dyneema or other high-tenacity fibers, nylon offers more dynamic behavior under load: it better absorbs impact energy due to its intrinsic elasticity, reducing stress transmitted to anchors and the entire safety system.

In situations where friction or the sling sliding over edges or carabiners is likely, nylon guarantees superior resistance to heat from friction compared to Dyneema, which can weaken rapidly due to thermal effects.
