DESCRIPTION
The Wild Country Ascent HMS is a pear-shaped screwgate carabiner, primarily designed for belaying with a Munter hitch (HMS) but versatile enough to cover a wide range of climbing uses. The asymmetrical pear shape naturally aligns the carabiner towards the optimal loading point, efficiently distributing forces to the harness, belay plates, or anchor slings.
Construction and Technical Features
The body is made of high-strength aluminum alloy, with a structure that maximizes gate opening to facilitate maneuvers even with gloves or under stress. The keylock nose eliminates the risk of accidental snagging on reefing and quickdraw carabiners, ensuring smooth and snag-free clipping and unclipping. The screwgate ensures simple and reliable locking during belaying.
