DESCRIPTION
The Salewa Wildfire 2 GTX are approach shoes designed for those who aren't content with just reaching the base of the route: they aim to perform even on mixed technical terrain, where foot precision is already part of the climb. The upper, constructed with an anatomical and precise fit, wraps around the foot without pressure points, ensuring control on narrow ledges and uneven terrain typical of alpine approaches.
Construction and materials
The waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® membrane protects against humidity and sudden downpours typical of mountain environments, without sacrificing breathability during sustained climbs. The reinforced technical mesh upper balances lightness and abrasion resistance, crucial when the terrain becomes stony and sharp. The molded footbed supports the arch during long hours of hiking with a backpack.
Sole and rock grip
The Pomoca Climb Pro S7 sole is the true strength of this shoe: developed specifically for rock use, it offers high grip on both dry and wet surfaces. The tread is designed to work in both hiking mode and easy climbing situations, making it unnecessary to change footwear at the start of the route.
