DESCRIPTION
The SALEWA Pedroc Durastretch Light Jacket is a hybrid softshell designed for those who don't want to compromise between protection and freedom of movement, suitable for both fast mountain excursions and daily urban use. The construction concept is based on the combination of two fabrics with distinct functions: the Durastretch front panel with water-repellent treatment blocks splashes and light wind, while the mesh insert on the back ensures active heat dissipation during sustained efforts such as speed hiking or trail running on alpine terrain.
Construction and material technology
The Durastretch fabric is a highly elastic two-way material developed by Salewa for dynamic alpine applications: it combines abrasion resistance, DWR treatment, and flexibility that follows every movement without resistance. The breathable mesh zone on the back reduces moisture accumulation during the most intense phases, preventing the typical overheating of traditional single-construction softshells.
Construction details
- Athletic fit with pre-shaped sleeves for a precise fit without excess fabric
- Cuffs with thumb loops to keep the sleeve in place when used with gloves or poles
- Hidden front pocket with a low profile, integrated into the design to not interfere with a waist pack
