DESCRIPTION
The Alugator Pro Light Hoe from Mammut is a professional avalanche shovel designed for ski touring and freeriding, where excavation speed can make all the difference in an emergency situation. The blade is made of high-performance aluminum with an anti-rollover geometry: this specially designed shape prevents the shovel from twisting under intense strain, maintaining full control while digging in compact or wet snow.
Ergonomics and versatility of use
The ergonomically shaped D-handle allows for a secure grip even with thick gloves, transmitting force directly to the blade without wasting energy. The variable shaft positioning system is one of the most significant technical elements: it allows the handle to be locked at 90° to the blade, transforming the shovel into a true hoe. This configuration is ideal for removing hard snow, surface ice, or working in confined spaces where classic shoveling is not practical.
