DESCRIPTION
The Karpos Pomedes Tech Full-Zip Fleece is named after one of the most iconic routes in the Dolomites: the Pomedes, a limestone pillar above Cortina that was fundamental to mountaineering in the 1960s. This is not a decorative detail – it's the starting point of the design. This fleece was created with those who wear a harness in mind, those who are resting on a ledge with fingers still warm from climbing and need a thermal layer that can be put on and taken off in seconds without removing their helmet.
Construction and Technical Materials
The fleece fabric used is highly breathable and actively manages moisture, designed to keep the body dry during breaks after a demanding pitch or during long approaches with a backpack. The full-length front zip allows for precise ventilation adjustment, essential when conditions change rapidly at altitude. The cut is designed for compatibility with a climbing harness: the bottom hem does not interfere with the leg loops, and the side seams do not create uncomfortable pressure under backpack shoulder straps.
When and How to Use It
