DESCRIPTION
Climbing Technology's Axis HMS SGL is a hot-forged aluminum alloy pear-shaped carabiner, designed to meet the demands of technical mountaineering, rescue maneuvers, and rope recovery systems. The HMS shape ensures correct alignment of the rope and belay devices, reducing the risk of twisting and improving fluidity of operation even in the most demanding situations.
Technical Features
The large gate opening and generous body dimensions facilitate quick insertion of ropes, slings, and devices, even with gloves or in stressful conditions. The single screwgate (SGL) offers a secure closure and simple handling, even with one hand. Hot forging ensures high structural strength while keeping weight down, an essential characteristic in alpine environments where every gram counts.
Usage and Applications
The Axis HMS SGL naturally integrates into belay systems with a Munter hitch, in crevasse rescue systems, and in vertical rescue operations, where the strength and reliability of the connector are paramount. The design allows for stable connection of devices such as the ATC, Grigri, or self-locking plates, ensuring correct positioning and optimal operation. It is certified according to EN and UIAA standards, the benchmarks for climbing and mountaineering equipment.
