DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Photon Express KS Janja is an ultralight competition quickdraw developed for onsight climbing, where every gram removed from the harness translates into a real advantage on the route. With a low overall weight and two carabiners of different designs for function, it meets the demands for speed and safety typical of high-difficulty sport climbing.
Construction and Geometry
The upper carabiner is a Photon KS with a keylock gate, which eliminates the traditional hooked nose and drastically reduces the risk of unintentional snagging on the protection. The lower carabiner is a Photon Wire with a straight gate, optimized for quick and intuitive rope insertion during progression. Both carabiners feature SphereLock geometry at the nose, which improves the balance of the gate-carabiner system and keeps the hinge under load in an optimal position, increasing clipping reliability even under muscle stress.
